I had the awesome opportunity over the weekend to go to my very first NYC Craft Beer Fest.  Tried all sorts of tasty brews.  Here are some highlights.

Stone 12.12.12 Vertical Epic Ale

This one was amazing.  Crazy, but it almost tasted like Christmas egg nog.  It was a bit too intense to be something I drank a ton of, but it’s a perfect capper.  Earned myself a “Taste Crazy” badge on Untapped with this one.  Side note: the founder of the Untapped was at the event, which was cool.

Kona Brewing Company Koko Brown

Delicious! It’s got a very unique flavor with the coconut. I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.

That time I was a brewer (and not a home brewer)

SingleCut was there representing!

I had to stop by my hometown brewery’s table at the event: SingleCut Beersmiths.  I had the Mahogany (Dean), which is always a favorite.  But also tried this so-called Wittier Witbier, which was pretty good.

I put this together with the help of some friends from work last month.  It was super fun to try so many different types of craft beers.  I’m hoping to do more lists like these in the future, maybe going by type or location.

I’d say Founders Centennial IPA was my personal favorite on the list.  I’ve had it five times since tasting.
